Meet The Outliers
The Outliers are a cover band based in the Twin Cities of
Minneapolis and St. Paul. Our major influences are diverse: Tom
Petty, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Rolling Stones, the Ramones and every band ever influenced
by the Ramones (check out
Little
Steven's Underground Garage), alt-country/Americana, power pop, on and on.
We've been together since 2001. The Outliers started out
as a loose collective of scientists looking to channel their energy into music. Dan
and Yoji, who are both professors at the University of Minnesota Medical School
when they're not on stage, are original founding members. Jon and Nick have
been Outliers since 2004. We enjoy playing for fun crowds at private
events, fundraisers, benefits and other community building functions. Click on a picture
